Indeed, it is the sheer mercy of Allah (SWT) that we have the understanding of Islam and made it possible for us to practice it, as a means so that we may seek deliverance from the fire of hell and entrance into paradise. May this Ramadan become a means of salvation and unity for the Ummah, Ameen.

In 2004, a few Muslims living in the area of Mount Joy, Markham established a Musallah in the basement of a brother’s house. Then, a property of 2 Acres with approved zoning for a place of worship (intended of a Church) was listed for sale in July 2006 for $ 970,000. By the grace of Allah (SWT) this great opportunity came our way for establishing a house of Allah.

Our Mission, at the Islamic Society of Mount Joy in Markham, is to build an institution that will encompass a Masjid, Multi purpose hall & Madressah.

This property is located on the north side of 16th Avenue a block east of Markham Road in Markham, Ontario and is situated in middle of a fastest growing residential area of Greensborough, Markham.

History bears testimony that Muslims have ventured into new lands and established the Deen of Allah (SWT) by building such institutions as bases and foundations for the future propagation of Islam. It is essential to build Masajid as the centers where in basic duty (prayers) of Muslims are

rendered, and also to serve the needs of today’s Muslims and future generations to come. Moreover, such institutions provide an opportunity to people of other faiths to interact with our community.

We the Board of Directors kindly urge you to pray for the successful completion of this project and request you to donate generously to pay for this land in order to build the house of Allah. Rest assured that your dollars donated today will, Inshallah bring you continuous rewards in the

life hereafter.
