        • 2006 July, 2 acre Land (zoned for place of worship) listed for sale @ $970,000.
        • 2006 July, 1st Payment of $55,000 was given as down payment.
        • 2006 July, Taraveeh taking place @ 7 Park Place
        • 2006 Oct 10, is the deadline for our 2nd installment of $80,000
        • 2006 Sep 28, Managements messege
        • 2006 Oct 10, installment of $50,000 was paid.
        • 2006 Dec, Five times salat and kids madrasa begins at 10 Finch ham Ave Unit #108
        • 2006 Dec, Jumma salat begins at 10 Finch ham Ave Unit # 108 @ 1:45 pm
        • 2007 Jan, 10 installment of $50,000 was paid.
        • 2007 July, $450,000 Due for closing.
        • 2008 July, Five times salat and kids madrasa begins at 158 Anderson Drive, Unit #2
        • 2008 July, Masjid land paid off in full

        • On Sunday June 20th, 2010 - Insha-Allah, we will be holding a ground-breaking ceremony for the start of the Masjid construction on the purchased land (near the corner of 16th Avenue and Hwy 48)

          This project will Insha-Allah be of great significance for protecting and supporting the growing needs of the Muslim Community in Markham and for enhancing the cause of Islam, in addition to, benefiting Muslim generations for decades to come.  

           

          NEW MASJID DETAILS

        • The building shall cover over 25,000 sq feet on two acres of prime land
        • Will serve over 1200 worshipers
        • Seven well-equipped classrooms (accommodating over 300 youth & children)
        • Recreational facilities for all ages
        • Islamic library and support area specially for elders
        • Dawah and guidance centre
        • Community support centre
        • Estimated cost to start construction is $1.4M
        • Estimated cost to complete the construction is $6M Cdn.

VERSES FROM THE QURAN REGARDING SPENDING IN THE WAY OF ALLAH

2:261 - -
مَّثَلُ الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِي كُلِّ سُنبُلَةٍ مِّئَةُ حَبَّةٍ وَاللّهُ يُضَاعِفُ لِمَن يَشَاء وَاللّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ (2:261)

  • 2:261 (Picktall) The likeness of those who spend their wealth in Allah's way is as the likeness of a grain which groweth seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains. Allah giveth increase manifold to whom He will. Allah is All Embracing, All Knowing.

2:262 - -
الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ ثُمَّ لاَ يُتْبِعُونَ مَا أَنفَقُواُ مَنًّا وَلاَ أَذًى لَّهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ 

  • 2:262 (Picktall) Those who spend their wealth for the cause of Allah and afterward make not reproach and injury to follow that which they have spent; their reward is with their Lord, and there shall no fear come upon them, neither shall they grieve.

2:265 - -
وَمَثَلُ الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمُ ابْتِغَاء مَرْضَاتِ اللّهِ وَتَثْبِيتًا مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ كَمَثَلِ جَنَّةٍ بِرَبْوَةٍ أَصَابَهَا وَابِلٌ فَآتَتْ أُكُلَهَا ضِعْفَيْنِ فَإِن لَّمْ يُصِبْهَا وَابِلٌ فَطَلٌّ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ (2:265)

  • 2:265 (Picktall) And the likeness of those who spend their wealth in search of Allah's pleasure, and for the strengthening of their souls, is as the likeness of a garden on a height. The rainstorm smiteth it and it bringeth forth its fruit twofold. And if the rainstorm smite it not, then the shower. Allah is Seer of what ye do.
